Regarding exhaust stains, I have had good results avoiding them with the use
of an exhaust extender. This consists of a white pill bottle of appropriate
diameter purchased at .50$ Canadian per bottle from your local pharmacy.
Throw away the cap, Dremel out the base and push it into the exhaust
opening. It is friction fit and each one lasts a couple of years. Reduces
staining and also makes the exhaust water easier to see from the cockpit
when confirming cooling prior to casting off.
