Don, you don't say which style bilge you have. Our #62 has the "deep" bilge
with the pump in the bilge.  Later models have the "shallow" bilge with the
pump not in the bilge.  I can't speak for the latter; but, in ours we have a
Rule 1000GPH with separate switch. I replace the same pump in '04, and it
has run flawlessly for these 8 years.  I just bought a replacement for $40
after some erratic operations that I think was attributed to gunk on the
switch.  I cleaned the switch with vinegar and water and it now seems fine.
I'm holding the new pump for now.  Rule makes good products.

my bilge pump seized up. replaced it with a Rule 1100. Anyone else using
this one?  is it reliable?
