[C320-list] Rudder cable clamp replacement

This should not be hard to repair. Just back off on the eye bolt adjustment and then replace the two u-bolt cable clamps. I would recommend SS as the cost is not that big compared to the amount of work and importance of the steering gear. Once the cable is reattached tighten them back up with the eye bolt.

The next thing to do is find out how the salt water is getting into the boat. There are two suspects on my list. 1) the emergency steering access cover is not sealing well and 2) the fresh water shower. I know I'm constantly finding my shower connections leaking.
Good luck and glad you found it before it let go.

I have an Epson chain and wire set up and the two cable clamps on one of the cables where it attaches to the eye bolt (which connects to the steering disk) were severely corroded to the point of undoubtable future failure. Oddly the two on the other cable appeared to be just fine. Im contemplating how I am going to replace these failing cable clamps and wondered if anyone else had been down this road. I only call this a nice surprise as I'm truly happy I saw this before it came apart and I found myself rudderless!!
