I put in a T in the hose between the thru hull and the filter with a male
screw-in plug. To winterize I unscrew the plug and put in a male - male
adapter that I can attach a female hose end. In the fall I attach a hose
that sucks two gallons of antifreeze from a bucket. After that is done I
take off the hose and adapter and screw in the plug with plumbers tape.
