1995 #182 had bilge seepage of salt water due to a vertical bilge pump screw that was a little too long.  It took several years for the hull leak to develop.  The fix was ten days of dry out on the hard and FG repair by a pro.Rollie

Windy City...my opinion of using silicone the crack is not a good idea.  A crack can propagate and indicates a possible structural problem.  Silicone is a "bandaid" coverup approach that could mask a serious problem.
