[C320-list] Replacement of Refer Evaporator

I did mine on #500 a few years ago and it was easy. I replaced both the evaporator and the compressor, and since these systems are pre-charged with the self-sealing connectors, there's not much to it. First, I installed the new compressor. Then, I took the new evaporator into the cabin and carefully unrolled the new line set. At this point the evaporator was in the middle of the cabin with the lines pointed aft. Then it was just a process of patiently feeding the lines back through the conduit to the compressor. Once that was done, it was pretty easy to train the lines in the ice box to where they needed to be and reinstall the evaporator and the thermostat.

When it was all in place, I connected the lines to the compressor, and that was it.

Joe, I'm not aware of any info; but, haven't made an effort. I can tell you that the refer lines run through their own conduit that runs under the port locker to the compressor. You can see the aft end of this conduit by peeking through the access in the aft berth by looking down and to the right. As to how they run from the expansion plate into this conduit, I can't say. I can say that on a 1999 model, there was a similar conduit. It would be nice to know. Perhaps a call to Warren at the FL Largo factory will inform.

I'm replacing the Dometic refer on my 1999 C320. Can anyone tell me
the best procedure to remove the evaporator and reun the new tubes to
the compressor? Are there any tech articles on this on the C320 site?
   Thanks!
