[C320-list] Bleeding fuel lines

I’m changing both fuel filters and wanted some clarification on bleeding the system. Last time I mentioned I used fuel from the tank to fill both filters and I was informed this was not recommended (since it’s unfiltered fuel). If I replace both fuel filters and leave them empty and open up the bolt on the secondary filter for air to escape, will I be able to pump enough fuel from the Racor manual pump to eventually fill up both filters?
