[C320-list] Dripless shaft???

I installed a PSS shaft seal in my 320 as part of commissioning it in 2005.  It has been on the job for 13 straight years now without a single problem.  On haul outs I inspect and clean up the surfaces which typically get a small amount of salt build up.  I’ve contemplated changing out the bellows, but in the course of cleaning it up and inspecting it, I’ve simply seen no reason to do so as of yet.  Maybe on the next haul out……  On initial installation, you have to disconnect the shaft and pull it back, but not completely out, so not an issue with the rudder being in the way.  The other thing to think about installing at the time you do the dripless seal is a flexible shaft coupling that would save your engine if you ever encounter a large object with your prop or some other shock loading.  Easy to do with the shaft pulled back.  I’ve attached the links for both of these items below.  I have both and feel like the flexible coupling also reduces the vibration some since it’s more forgiving on the alignment.  Anyway, something to think about.  Good luck!
