[C320-list] Heat Exchanger/Overflow Tank

Some may remember that I had an intermittent coolant leak that I finally found. The leak was coming from a worn spot on the radiator filler assembly (the unit that you screw the radiator cap on to). I replaced the entire filler assembly as well as the hose that goes from the radiator back to the overflow tank. I matched the size of the hose with the original hose size. Prior to replacing the assembly the overflow tank would always have coolant in it particularly after I ran the engine. Now that the hose and filler assembly are new I rarely have coolant flowing into the overflow tank. I’ve checked the radiator and it is full of coolant all the way up to the cap. I’m wondering if I’ve created a separate problem by coolant not flowing into the overflow tank. I check the engine temperature and it never goes above 160. (I have a Yanmar 3GM30.) Any thoughts would be appreciated.
