[C320-list] Replacement sea water pump

Hi Rod,
After about 8 years, my pump began to leak in the same area and I had quick access to the lip seal kit so I decided to go that route with the intent of getting a new pump and save the old one as a spare. The lip seal kit did the trick and I never bothered with the new pump. This wasn’t an effort to save money, it simply solved the problem. The seal fits in without any need for a mechanical press and took 15 minutes to rebuild.
On my new 3YM I had the same problem (same Johnson pump) and did the same thing.
Not sure if it’s a cause, but I loosen the belts every winter to keep the side load off the shaft...
