[C320-list] Adding a clutch unit

I am planning to add a rope-clutch unit to the starboard side clutches. How do I attach the clutch? I can see that it has two holes for #14 flat-head screws, but what type? Machine screws? Sheet-metal screws? Is there a metal plate underneath that I need to thread with a tap-and-die, or is there a simpler way? Thanks for your help.
