[C320-list] Rudder Maintenance

two years ago, we had prop shaft issues that led to dropping the rudder.
the yard discovered cracks in the steering quadrant (admittedly, before
that I didn't know what the steering quadrant did although I'd seen it when
fumbling around in the aft storage area). We had it replaced, along with
the cabling. That was fortunate because later that summer we got blasted by
a squall, gale force winds, and very rough cross chop while not able to get
the jenny down. much pressure and jerking on the steering unit. all could
have failed with the cracked quadrant. so it's something to look at when
doing any rudder work.
