[C320-list] Dodger

Hi Fishbust:

I had a local canvas maker do a full-cockpit Bimini with dodger for about $4,500. I re-used the SS tubes and fittings as well as the zippers on the Bimini. He came out, talked to me about what I wanted and measured everything properly.

Mail order and DIY, you might be able to do something similiar for 2K.

But with custom, you get extras such as a window in the Bimini to look up the mast and slots for the halyards to run through the dodger. The Sunbrella and stitching are also much better quality than what you get in most mail-order biminis and dodgers.

So what is expensive? How much is an iverson and how much do locals get? There are so many catalinas out there, it seems to me a cookie cutter situation for any experienced canvas guy.

The dodger itself enhances what you can see when you look forward from the helm. Superior design. Very high quality. People wait 6 months for them to come to your boat and start the process?? The local guys can?t even come close.
