[C320-list] Engine Anti-Siphon Issue?

Hello fellow 320ers!

I had my engine (Perkins M30) serviced yesterday by a trusted mechanic and he tells me that it appears the seawater anti-siphon is sitting below the waterline.  He sent me a picture pointing to a clear tube alongside the valve that indicates waterline and it is above the top of the valve.  Is this true?  I searched the forum site but found nothing about relocating, adjusting or changing the hose routing or valve location.  Is he missing something or incorrect?

I wish I could send the picture he sent me but it appears to be the case if indeed what he’s showing me is accurate.  We have not added a bunch of gear to the boat that would drop it deeper into the water.

Thoughts or suggestions?
